Creede is a hidden gem with easy access to easy dirt bike and OHV trails, Wheeler Geologic Area, and Fish Creek Falls. I’ve included GPS coordinates for free, dispersed camping near town. More camping can be found outside of town, near Fish Creek Falls.
Hartman Rocks makes a great weekend getaway from Denver and the suburbs. We took our Keystone Outback here last summer and stayed overnight. There are over 50 designated and free campsites. The sites are far enough apart from one another that you feel like you’re all alone. Excellent mountain biking, dirt biking, and rock climbing!
