California Gulch Trail (Animas Forks) - Silverton, CO
California Gulch trail is a great ride for dirtbikers of all skill levels. You will see the Columbus and Bagley Mines and the ghost town of Animas Forks. The trail takes 1-2 hours to ride (time included for pit stops and photos!). This trail is best ridden from July to September.
RAM Off-Road Park - Colorado Springs, CO
RAM Off-Road Park in Colorado Springs is an easy drive from Denver and not like your typical motocross track. Areas of the track remind me of both Moab and California desert. While it’s usually busy, the park is large enough that you can get away from other riders. There are jumps for those that want to jump and fun little hill climbs for those that are more interested in technical riding. You can bring your ATV, UTV, Jeep, Dirtbike, and even RC car here. There is a track and area for all of them. If you are interested in a more traditional motocross track, Aztec Family Raceway is right next door!
Tiger Road and Golden Horseshoe Trail System (North/Middle Fork Swan River) - Breckenridge, CO
Tiger Road in Breckenridge, CO is a fantastic place to start your dirt biking and camping adventure. It’s easy to access, relatively close to Denver, and there are spectacular views above treeline. If you want to make a weekend of it, consider tent camping or boondocking on the national forest land at the end of Tiger Road.
