Hartman Rocks makes a great weekend getaway from Denver and the suburbs. We took our Keystone Outback here last summer and stayed overnight. There are over 50 designated and free campsites. The sites are far enough apart from one another that you feel like you’re all alone. Excellent mountain biking, dirt biking, and rock climbing!
Tiger Road has some great camping when you reach the end and turn onto National Forest Land. There are scenic dirtbike trails, mine buildings, wildflower fields, small waterfalls, and of course…. mountain goats! Camping can be done by tent or trailer. Large trailers will be limited in how far they can go back. Make sure your OHV stickers are current.
