WEBE Racing - Las Vegas, NM

This was my first-ever Enduro race and my first ride on my new 2025 Surron Ultra Bee. I didn’t know what to expect or what the protocol was for passing, stopping, holeshot etc. I definitely pulled over way too much and probably added 10 minutes on to each lap from that and my technical difficulties (my throttle was stuck totally maxed, so I had to pull it back every time I accelerated manually and my front brake got smashed and was stuck ‘on’ so I had to push the lever out constantly). I was like a pig in shit in the first mud puddle and some nice men had to help me pull my bike out. Unfortunately for them, I splattered them. I need to just go for it, and go around people instead of waiting at the back of the line.

I had such a good time, though, and met some nice people. The race promoters were very nice, and when I pulled into the pits after my first lap, people helped me fix my brake issue and tried to assist me with my throttle problem. There was so much mud in my throttle tube though, that there was no helping that. Jonathan and I were the only ones on electric bikes. This also made me realize that my cardio/endurance is shit, so I’ll be working on that before the race in August. Surprisingly, my back didn’t hurt this race (3 herniated discs), but my knee felt like trash (no ACL/PCL). Our suspension was SO stiff. It was definitely stiffer than my MX bikes, so I was bouncing all over.

It was so muddy. I ended up at 52% battery, Jonathan at 12% (he did one more lap though). You can’t see it, but my hair is also crusted in mud.
