Tucked behind the historic town of Saint Elmo near Buena Vista, Colorado, Poplar Gulch Trail offers a steep, scenic singletrack ride into Colorado’s high country. At just over 6 miles one-way, this advanced-level trail climbs from 10,000 to over 12,000 feet, weaving through pine and aspen forests before breaking into alpine views of Mount Mamma and Boulder Mountain. It’s a favorite among dirt bikers and mountain bikers looking for a short but technical climb with switchbacks, stream crossings, and epic descents.

Baldwin Lake is a scenic ride near Nathrop, CO. The lake is located at about 12,000 feet and the trail is an out and back. It took us about 2 hours on our dirt bikes to complete with plenty of pit stops and about 40 minutes trying to help a jeep out of the snow!
